Comma Copywriters Named to Utah 100 for Third Time
A trio of successes! Comma Copywriters is proud to be named to the Utah 100 List for the third time. The award recognizes high-growth Utah-based companies and highlights our dedicated team and commitment to our mission and values.
What Is Utah 100?
Each year, MountainWest Capital Network recognizes the fastest-growing companies in Utah based on percentage and dollar growth over a five-year period. This year, Comma came in at number 53. It's an incredible honor to be included among some of our favorite Utah companies (including some amazing current and former Comma clients!).
“This kind of growth is a team effort,” said Crystalee Beck, Comma’s founder and CEO. “How you do something is just as important as what you do. We’ve held true to that for nine years, and we’ll keep doing it for the next nine.”
Utah is known as a top state for business growth, which means countless incredible businesses are experiencing strong growth. To be included among that group and recognized for our continual growth is a huge honor for Comma. This year marks our third time on the Utah 100 list, including previous honors in 2022 and 2023. What makes Comma stand out? We’ve learned to evolve with our clients' needs, provide customized services, and have earned their trust over the years. And we do it with a fully remote team who know that their lives outside of work are the most important thing.
Team Comma members attended the Utah 100 event at the Grand America Hotel. The event featured high-energy company highlights and a message from Utah Governor Spencer Cox about the state’s incredible business growth.
What Drives Comma’s Growth
2025 has been a banner year for Comma, from earning the Utah Business Fast 50 Award for the fifth straight year to being named a finalist for the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame Company Culture Award. We also took our crowd-favorite Cheesecake + Content Chats tour on the road for the first time and rolled out new services to polish and refine AI-generated content.
We’re especially proud of these awards as we navigate the changing content marketing space. (Perhaps you’ve heard a little about the impact of AI on marketing and content creation?)
The economy and industry are continually changing, which presents us with the exciting challenge of staying flexible and adaptable while remaining true to our values and culture — and, of course, providing our clients with incredible writing worth reading.
Comma stays grounded and guided by staying true to our most important asset: Our people. Crystalee founded Comma nine years ago as a solo entrepreneur determined to build a business while also building her family. Her determination created the cornerstone of Comma’s mission and culture: life-first work. For Crystalee, the real success is building a business that supports her team and their lives outside of work.
“How you do something is just as important as what you do,” said Crystalee. “We’ve held true to that for nine years, and we’ll keep doing it for the next nine.”
To celebrate the Utah 100 recognition, Crystalee recently appeared on the “Welcome to the Winner’s Circle” podcast, where she shared her “why” behind Comma and her best takeaways for entrepreneurs. (Check out the full podcast here.) One reason for Comma’s continual growth and success? Our commitment to our values. Crystalee walked through what these five principles mean:
Freedom. Life First: Crystalee started Comma to create more freedom. “Work-life balance is backward,” she said. “Life should come first.” Comma encourages balance, matches projects to employees' bandwidth, and gives employees a $1,000 Bucket List Grant on their third anniversary to help them check a dream off their bucket lists.
Accountability. Show Up and Own Your Work: “If you give too much freedom, you risk missing deadlines. If you give too much accountability, it feels like a prison,” she said. “You need both.” Freedom goes hand in hand with accountability. Employees have freedom because they take pride in their work and own it.
Humility. Work as a Team, No Egos: Everyone needs editors and collaborators, including the talented Comma team. We work as a team to support each other's growth and are open to feedback and edits to help us grow.
Curiosity. Keep Growing and Learning: “We welcome input and questions,” Crystalee said. “It helps us stay open to change and innovation.” Comma uses curiosity to stay adaptable and not stand still for too long.
Care. We Put Our Heart Into It: You can't do great work if you don't care. From choosing clients to writing and managing projects, we believe in what we do.
We put our heart into everything we do at Comma, and we’re thrilled when it pays off in strong growth.
A big congratulations to the companies honored on this year's Utah 100 list. We are proud to be recognized alongside these brands and treasure the opportunity to associate with them. Thank you, MountainWest Capital Network, for hosting this award, connecting companies, and celebrating business growth in Utah.
