Comma turns 10 this year, and America is turning 250! To celebrate both milestones, we’re doing what we love most: reading, learning, and growing with our Comma-unity!
For a decade, Comma has been delivering award-winning, fluff-free content marketing worth reading. We believe readers are leaders — and that our best ideas come from fresh perspectives, unique voices, and experiences beyond our own. So to mark ten years in business (and 250 years of American history), we’re inviting our community to join us in an epic, year-long reading adventure.
Introducing: Booked Across America: 50 Reads for 250 Years
Like a literary cross-country road trip, this challenge is designed to help you:
Discover new authors, genres, and voices
Explore the cultural and historical richness of all 50 states
Build a low-pressure, sustainable reading habit

How It Works
Here’s how it works: Read one book that takes place in each of the 50 states (or written by an author from each state). Go in any order, at any pace, and choose the books that genuinely interest you.
We’ve curated an incredible list of books to choose from, spanning fiction, nonfiction, classics, memoirs, and more. From Big Fish (Alabama) to My Friend Flicka (Wyoming), there’s truly something for everyone. Here’s a peek at just a few stops along the way:
